A new article from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) looks into the ways that AI can help speed up the talent candidate search, from applicant screening, scheduling, and background checks, to interviewing.
AEM interviewed workforce experts including William Gott, human resources manager at Wood-Mizer, a manufacturer of portable sawmill equipment. Gott emphasized that integrating AI tools with an HR department applicant tracking system can help automate the candidate hiring process, providing a more seamless experience for recruiters and job seekers alike. AI could also assist with the more tedious paperwork processes that HR managers face on a daily basis.
“When I look at the ideal end-to-end hiring process today, the priority is really around speed of hire, particularly with skilled trades such as welding,” said Gott. “It’s important to get candidates interested as quickly as possible.”
