11th UNESCO Africa Engineering Week and 9th Africa Engineering Conference

The Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers (UIPE), in collaboration with UNESCO, the Federation of African Engineering Organisations (FAEO) and WFEO, is organizing the 11th UNESCO Africa Engineering Week and the 9th Africa Engineering Conference (11AEW&9AEC), which will take place in Uganda, between 14 and 20 September 2025.

The 2025 Conference Theme is “Leveraging Engineering Innovations and Technology to Accelerate Africa’s Socio–Economic Transformation.”

The 11th UNESCO Africa Engineering Week and 9th African Engineering Conference are landmark events designed to elevate the role of engineering in solving Africa’s greatest challenges. Since their inception, these events have been platforms for:

  • Celebrating African engineering excellence

  • Shaping policies that foster innovation and resilience

  • Building capacity in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines
